REGISTRATION and Tailwind!

Online pre-registration for the 2013 Ithaca GP presented by ZEVLIN opens SUNDAY, 5/12 at noon!

This edition of the Ithaca GP will be the opening event for the Tailwind Cyclocross series!  Your points will count in the Tailwind cyclocross series points - but the race will still be the race you know and love!  (With chip timing!)

Set-up!

It's POURING right now but looks like the weather (HERE) should be much nicer for tomorrow.  However that might mean the course is just a smidge damp in the morning...

PLEASE READ THIS:

Remember at the Ithaca GP the START happens at the bottom of the hill on pavement!  You'll head up the one way out of the park before turning onto the finishing straight.  You are now on the lap.  Near the end of the lap you will come up a gravel hill and go through the second road crossing.  At this point you'll cross the start road and turn LEFT going back downhill on the grass that parallels the start chute.  This will then lead you to the finish on pavement (after a bit of climbing!)  There will be road crossing guards posted at 9:30 a.m. to help direct you if you have any questions!  There will also be a map at registration to help.

FINAL COUNTDOWN

Today is set-up day and there are a few things to check off the list!  First is a radio interview with Tallon, Ithaca's amazing sound guy, at 8:00 on WMLM (1520 am).  After that I'll be headed to the park to spray the start, finish, and PRIME lines (primes are sponsored by www.VeloShine.com).  Then I'll be running a few errands before heading back to the course for set up.

The last sponsorship package arrived yesterday from www.DrakesCoffee.com!  The top five singlespeed racers are competing for a bag of the most premium beam from Costa Rica.  However everyone can enjoy Drake's Coffee goodness at the IthacaGP coffee station.

Weather is looking quite wet for today's course preparations, but dry tomorrow so keep that in mind with your tire selection!
